Demo: HubSpot’s Form Interactions Event Trigger!

I think I’ve discovered HubSpot’s best kept secret: Form Interactions in the “event triggers” beta for workflows. In my opinion this is a game changer for creating form abandonment strategies, and I wonder where HubSpot could be going with this new feature. Maybe A/B form testing? How amazing would that be?!

Anyway, in this week’s video I share a demo of this feature and how I’ve put a Form Interactions workflow together to identify website visitors who simply “interact” with my Referral Program form but don’t submit it.

HubSpot has a new feature in beta. It’s in the workflows tool, and it’s for event-based triggers. This is something you could use for many, many different use cases, but I’m using it for a very simple one. Holiday Marketing: How One Company Blew Up Their Email List on Thanksgiving (and not in a good way)

Welcome to the second week of 2023. We made it!

Today I’m gonna share a little story with you about something that happened with one of my clients in 2022. So, this client is B2C and they sell a product that people in a particular geography are very interested in. These people come to the company website, and sometimes learn they’re not eligible for this company’s product right away. So, they fill out a HubSpot form, they go into the client’s HubSpot CRM, and they sit there for several months in some cases, waiting to find out when they’ll become eligible for the product.

This past Thanksgiving, without telling me they were going to do this (because I would have told them “don’t do this”), they sent an email blast to a few thousand of the people who were not eligible for their product. The email basically said, “Happy Thanksgiving, we’re so thankful for you.” The button in the email, the call-to-action, sent them to the company website where these people found out they still weren’t eligible for the product.

Consumer services has consistently been adapting and pivoting since being faced with economic uncertainty, a major disruption in the global supply chain and labor shortages, and major changes in consumer behavior.

These challenges continue to face the consumer services industry, and those brands who have embraced change have flourished while those who have stayed stagnant have closed up shop or are working hard to evolve and grow as “normal” life continues to morph.
