Sometimes watching another video or completing another certification isn’t what your team needs.
You need someone who can sit down with your team, look at your HubSpot portal, understand how your business uses it, and show people how to do their jobs more effectively.
I provide customized HubSpot training for marketing, sales, and customer service teams. Training can be booked as a one-off HubSpot project, so you don’t need an ongoing consulting retainer to work with me.
I’ve worked with HubSpot since 2012 and have been a HubSpot Solutions Partner since 2014, so training can range from basic platform usage to much more advanced HubSpot functionality.
Customized HubSpot Training
I don’t use a standard HubSpot training curriculum for every company.
Before training begins, I want to understand how you’re using HubSpot, what your team is responsible for, where they’re struggling, and what you want them to be able to do when we’re finished.
Training can cover areas such as:
- CRM navigation and record management
- Marketing email
- Lists and segmentation
- Workflows and automation
- Lead management
- Sales pipelines and deal management
- Tasks and sequences
- Reporting and dashboards
- Service Hub and ticketing
- Knowledge bases
- Data management
- Campaigns
- HubSpot’s AI tools and new functionality
Training can focus narrowly on one particular area or cover several parts of the platform.
The goal isn’t to teach your team everything HubSpot can possibly do. It’s to teach them what they need to know to use HubSpot well.
Training Built Around Your HubSpot Portal
HubSpot Academy is an excellent resource for learning the platform, and I regularly recommend it.
But general training can’t know how your company has configured HubSpot.
Your team may have its own pipelines, lifecycle stages, workflows, naming conventions, reporting requirements, custom objects, processes, and integrations.
That’s where customized HubSpot training becomes useful.
Instead of demonstrating HubSpot using generic examples, I train your team using the environment they’ll actually be working in.
We can address questions specific to your business, such as when your sales team should create a deal, what happens when a contact reaches a particular lifecycle stage, which information your team needs to enter, how customer service should handle a particular type of ticket, or which reports should be used to answer important business questions.
HubSpot Training for Marketing Teams
My background is in marketing, so I’ve spent much of my career working with HubSpot’s marketing tools.
Training for a marketing team might include email creation, segmentation, campaigns, automation, lead nurturing, reporting, forms, lead management, and other parts of Marketing Hub.
But the training doesn’t have to stop at which buttons to click.
If we’re working on lead nurturing, for example, we can discuss the strategy behind the nurture as well as how to build it in HubSpot. If we’re looking at segmentation, we can discuss which audiences make sense for your marketing rather than simply learning how to create a list.
That combination of marketing strategy and HubSpot execution can be particularly useful for smaller marketing teams without dedicated marketing operations resources.
HubSpot Training for Sales Teams
Sales teams generally don’t need to know every corner of HubSpot. They need to understand the parts that help them manage prospects, stay organized, follow your company’s sales process, and know what to do next.
Training can be tailored around your actual sales process and might include:
- Contact and company records
- Deal pipelines
- Tasks
- Sequences
- Meetings
- Prospecting tools
- Lead management
- Sales automation
- Reporting
- Data entry expectations
If your team isn’t consistently using HubSpot, training can also help uncover why.
Sometimes the problem is a lack of knowledge. Other times, the CRM itself has become unnecessarily complicated or doesn’t reflect the way the sales team actually works.
In that case, training alone may not be the answer.
HubSpot Training for Customer Service Teams
I also provide HubSpot training for customer service teams using Service Hub.
Training can include ticketing, help desk, inboxes, ticket pipelines, knowledge bases, customer feedback, automation, reporting, and HubSpot’s customer service AI functionality.
For teams implementing Service Hub for the first time, training can also be incorporated into the larger implementation so the people using the system understand not only how it works, but why it was configured that way.
Advanced HubSpot Training
Not every team needs beginner HubSpot training.
Sometimes the people I’m working with already know HubSpot well and need help understanding more sophisticated functionality.
Advanced training might involve workflows and automation, reporting and datasets, custom objects, CRM architecture, complex segmentation, associations, or new HubSpot functionality your team hasn’t used before.
This is one advantage of working with someone who also implements HubSpot.
If a training session turns into a discussion about how your CRM should be structured, why an automation isn’t working, or whether there’s a better way to build a process, I’m able to work through that with you rather than limiting the conversation to a predetermined training curriculum.
HubSpot Training During Onboarding
Training is also an important part of my HubSpot onboarding and implementation work.
A successful implementation doesn’t end when the portal has been configured. The people who will actually use HubSpot need to understand the system they’re being given.
Because I’m involved in the implementation itself, I can train your team on the actual processes we’ve built together rather than handing everyone generic HubSpot documentation at the end.
That might mean separate training for marketing, sales, leadership, or customer service depending on who will be using the platform and what they need to do.
Can I Hire a HubSpot Consultant Just for Training?
Yes.
You don’t need to hire me for ongoing consulting to get HubSpot training.
Training can be scoped as a one-off HubSpot project, with projects starting at $500.
The cost depends on what you want to cover, how many people are involved, the complexity of the subject matter, and how much preparation is required.
A focused training session on one area of HubSpot is very different from developing customized training for several departments using different parts of the platform. I’ll scope the engagement based on what your team actually needs rather than trying to fit you into a predetermined training package.
What If Training Uncovers Problems With Our HubSpot Setup?
It happens.
Sometimes a team believes it needs training because people are struggling to use HubSpot. Once we start looking at the portal, it becomes clear that the real problem isn’t the people using it.
Maybe the process is unnecessarily complicated. Maybe automation isn’t working properly. Maybe the CRM needs cleanup. Maybe reporting isn’t giving people what they need. Or maybe the system was configured years ago and no longer reflects how the company operates.
Because training is only one part of my HubSpot consulting work, I can identify those issues and help you determine what should be fixed.
If you want me to implement those changes, we can scope that work separately rather than pretending additional training will solve a system problem.
